Singing/Whistleing Turbo???

I've noticed in the last week that my turbo seems louder than before. It seems to have a high pitched whistling noise at above 20# of boost.

Anyone else have this? I'm wondering if maybe I have a leak somewhere. I have not noticed a drop in boost but I checked all of the boot connections anyway and all were good.

I'm heading to Alaska this Friday and don't want any surprises!

If you are hearing the turbo more, I would check your air intake to make sure it is still sealing good. check your air cleaner. I have a K&N and some say they let dirt go by. the only time I hear more turbo noise is when my air box is modified or a better air filter is installed.
If you are realy worried about it you can get replacement turbos for about $285 for a stock turbo. or go with some nice updates, like HX 35 or HX 40 or hybrids.

Good luck

Bushy had a good tip along time ago about the bolts on the intake manifold plate being a little loose and leaking a bit.
