Silver Stars in the fog
Here I thought I would share with you a rather unique view of what my Silver Star headlamps look like while being diffused by fog while running at a regulated voltage.
Here you can see the strength of the main beam and the side beam for peripheral lighting, you can also see the cutoff.
I addition to being a foggy night, it was also a very dark night, this was around 4:00 A.M.
You could not see effectively much farther than the bush.
Low Beam,
High Beam,
With the high beams on even parts of the dark sky light up and the area directly in front and to the sides of the truck light up with brilliant blue white light.
At times the fog closed in to almost zero visibility where I has to slow to a crawl with all of my hazards on hoping nothing was going to hit me.
If I were to drive where I expected more fog I would be more prepared for it, I would control my headlamps using PWM so I could lower the intensity and color of the lights or add a set of amber fog lights.
Wondering what it looked like to any oncoming traffic?
My Backup/work lights, each lamp is 100-watts and relay controlled off rear battery bank.
Even with these on when I am backing up, I have people pushing strollers and shopping carts behind me just inches from my bumper,
AS I am backing up..
But I guess it is because my truck is so quiet that they cannot see it.

Both headlamps have been adjusted and the hot spots are pretty much identical when against a block wall, I have found that the front grille area on these truck scatter light like a giant mirrored disco ball when struck by any bright lights (definitely not stealth) I can drive down the street and see light reflected off the overpasses and street signs a 1/4 mile away.
The fog was thicker in patches so that could have diffused the light differently.
