Shutoff Solenoid Sticking?

FWIW, My '93 has the blue +12v from the ignition first go to the fuel solenoid. From there, it goes to one of the two temperature switches located on the intake manifold cover-plate. From there it goes to the KSB. As such, the KSB is energized based on the intake air temperature.

I too had an issue with the fuel solenoid's plunger sticking in the bore. If you're able to run without the rubber tip being torn, you might try simply replacing the assembly.

If you're talking about your Ford, it's wired just fine for your purposes. Constant power directly to the KSB is not a bad thing on a non-intercooled pump.
