Should I...................

Change out the 92 D250 Auto Tranny (727?) to run on 10W/30 Oil vice ATF?

If so, what is the changeout procedure?
Should I run synthetic oil?
Who has done this?

I don't think that's a good idea. Transmission fluid is friction modified to prevent burning out the clutch packs. You can use synthetic ATF if you want, but I don't see much benefit to it, especially in a 12 year old truck. Just use whatever the book says to use (Dexron, I think?).
