sending unit

Exclamation sending unit

i dropped my tank.to clean it.then we put it back up in there.we put the float towards the front of tank and cleaned the connections.but diesel gauge still passed E when full.but when you get low on fuel it start working enough for low fuel light to come on.i need help thank you

Sounds as if the float unit needs replaced.

Yea the whole sending unit gets replaced. If I remember correctly you can only get them from the dealer.

I would check with the dealer and see if you can just buy the float assembly. I doubt (although I can be wrong) that the whole assembly needs replaced. I replaced just the float assembly on mine about a year ago, if memory serves me correctly, it was like 60 dollars from the dealer, and it fixed my problem

You dont have to replace the whole assembly. Its held onto the assembly with two screws. The three wires simply push onto it. The hardest part is dropping the tank. Honestly its a pretty simple job.

I just did it, and it was simple. Change the gasket as well. Cost $63.97 plus my time to do the drop. Bought the sending unit and seal from Wholesale mopar.com That price included shipping of $10 ..T.
