The search begins! My truck was Butcherd
Howdy gents,
Well over the course of the past few weeks scince i bought my W250 ive gone over things such as fluid and other maintenence procedures I like to get done when I buy a new vehicle. Especially with the price of fuel how do I know the last time the previous owner could afford to do any services in between tanks of fuel LOL. Any who after changing all the fluids etc. Ive gone through bulbs and fuses and so forth. My issue started when i checked the 4wd and when i shifted the T-case in even with a new bulb the "Engaged" indicator on the dash won't light up. I also noticed the Cruise control doesn't seem to work. Well I think I might have found the problem or at lease a darn good candidate for a suspect. Apparently the previous owner was a butcher. I found a group of wires in a pigtail/harness together that had just been cut. The run from under the carpet up under neath the dash. I havent had a chance to trace these wires but it looks like i might be trying to track down some factory wiring and diagrams so that i can piece my poor truck back to factory operating condition. This old truck was rode hard and put up soaking fellas. Please any advice or help would be tremendously appreciated as im begining to think I was taken to the cleaners on this truck. Thanks

the wiring for a 92 is the same as a 91.5, and there is a copy of the wiring diagrams for it in teh "Stickey".

Sounds like you are a perfectly capable DIYer. I would advise you to spend the money on a Factory Service Manual. For now dens link may help out but in the long run you will not regret the purchase one bit.
