Saw that awesome 1st gen again.....

this morning. He was pulling the white box trailor too.

Funny thing was that we both had our faces plastered to the windows looking at each others truck as we passed ....Kind of ironic. I really like that guys truck. Very sharp.

Thought that I would share...

Howdy Men,

You 1st genners are lookin good. This truck had 3 - 4 inches of lift (maybe not, don't know how a stocker sits) and SKINNY 35's or so under it. Looked fine!! ;D...I have looked at the prices on some around here for sale ...holding value well. I would take one that nice, but like most, don't want to pay for it. Want a good huntin' & fishin' truck.

I will try to find an 85 Yota I guess or a Fj60 or something. They are around here for about $4g's.

Let's face it, 1st Gens are true classics. Ya don't have to do anything to them, just polish 'em up and they look better than anything else on th' road. Sorta like the old Mercedes - the classic's look better every day.

RedWhiteDiesel I am running 255 85 R16's TXR Wild Countries. There not huge but the milage I get out of them are great. My cousins run the on thier CDT's and get 60-75,000 out of them, that can of mileage with agressive tread you can beat it. But when I stop putting on so many miles I'm going to go with 10x33's or so, it'll make the old girl look even meaner . As for the lift, I love it. It made the truck ride and look a whole lot better and it even handels better. The parts fit great and installed with no problems.

Excellent. I am running 33's right now on stock susupension, so hopefully 35's will fit if I end up getting the lift.
Thanks,
Brian

The org. front springs were riding on the bump stops, they were SHOT. So when I put on the new springs it was a huge improvment.

Re:Saw that awesome 1st gen again.....

Im running a couple heavy duty air shocks up front because after the previous owner (my uncle) warrantied the front springs about 4 times because they kept sagging, he got tired of it and just on the air shocks as warranty. It rides pretty rough but it keeps the front end up.
