Runing Cool?

Got my new rad in and i flushed all the old green stuff out. And now when i am driving the tep barly gits up to normal or never gets up to normal. even after a WOT run on the freeway. After that she cools off to in betweend cold a normal. thanks I just move to Kansas for the Army from Socal.

thanks wanna i was also thinkin maybe the fan cluch to. it has never been replaced

Is it locked up? If you can turn the fan easily by hand that's not the problem.

No its no locked up but it does not turn freely. it will only turn one fan blade on a hard hard push with my hand.

How about once it gets warmed up? They are sometimes a little stiff when the fluid is cold.

If you get a thermostat get it from cummins or atleast an oem type.

2 see if t-stat is stuck open or if the fan clutch is stuck on.
If it still runs real cool then the t-stat is more the likley stuck open.
If not then the clutch may be locked up.
