Rolled My Truck :-(

Well I rolled my truck and it's done. Thank the Lord my daughter and I walked away, he was looking after us that night.
My front end and frame are done. I bought an 81 crew cab to switch my running gear over to. I've read about this and looked into it and It looks strait forward. My biggest question is, do I switch over the dash or do I make the old one work, or will it?
On the plus side the guy didn't know what he had and now I'm the proud owner of two dana 60 king pin axles, two 205's, and I'll have a dana 60 rear sitting around for other projects.. ad removed
I'll get some pictures up soon as I can
Justin

Sorry to hear about your wreck, but I'm glad to hear everyone's OK and the old Cummins will live on in another body.

Put anything you have for sale in the classifieds.

Parts vultures, use the PM system instead of asking about stuff here.

I didn't think of putting it on here, I may have to do that. I wasn't trying to sell it by my post, was just saying, but I may have to list it. I forgot we had a cassified section here. Thanks wanna

You shouldn't have to switch the dash, but you can. I'm not switching mine until it's time for paint.

Well I've been out ripping and tearing. I think all I'm gonna have to do is switch all of the elctornics. The IP carrier looks the same as well as the ducts. so I think I'm gonna be good there. I'm going to switch the colume. The mirrors and windows were already in my plans. And as redneck as It sounds it will only be the front. Unless I come across another one with power windows and locks that I can rob. But for now the kids will just have to learn to use the window cranks. I'm also going to talk to the glass guy at work and see how much he'll charge to switch my sliding back window for solid one that's in the truck now.
Any and all suggestions are welcome.

The back window switch is nothing special. The rubber does not fit as tight as the windshield. If you ever want to power the back doors, it will take some engineering. The back door guts don't resemble the front door guts. I plan to do mine, but who knows if it will work. As rare as the back doors are, I don't want to do anything that messes it up.

As far as the dash is concerned, if you swap it all, you will run into fewer problems. If you switch it all it will be plug and play. On my ramcharger, I accidently grabbed the 93 dash harness instead of the 91.5 harness and didn't realize it until I couldn't plug in my o.d. dash button. Of course you will not need to worry about the o.d. with your "slippin clutch."

Alright got Most of it moved over, well the inside, motor still held in fast. My next problem that I've came across is the master for the clutch. The 81 is auto. And my master "twistes" in. The fire wall dosen't have a knock out for me to go by. Any ideas?
thanks

if you can measure and drill. thats what we had to do on dads. also i think we had to move the plug that goes through the fire wall over about 1\4 to half an inch. we measured the hole for the floor and cut that out also....we aren't good for taking pictures so we don't have any of our build but someone probably does.
