Rip's 4" downpipe
Rip's 4" downpipe
Ok, im getting ready to tackle the 4" exhaust myself, and have a few questions before i start.
It is sold with or without an adaptor. Do I have this right, that the adaptor would be 3" from my exhaust housing into the 4" for the downpipe?
I know he said its about a 3 hour job just for the downpipe, which will give me some great work this weekend. I also plan to get a new exhaust housing, either the 14 or 16cm non gated one.
Thanks

This is what he told me when I got mine from him, I still haven't installed it yet, the flange for the turbo you have to cut off of your old down pipe. The adaptor is from 3" to 4". I didn't get it from him since I already have one that goes from my stock down pipe to the rest of my 4" exhaust. I also got a band clamp from him then I found the same clamp at a local place for half the price.
Remember, a 14 CM housing is about 1 1/2" closer to the firewall than a 16 CM. Just food for thought. 14 CM will spool quicker than a 16 but will kill your top end power. I know from experience.
Good luck
