part #

Would anyone know the part # for the pitman arm needed for the mid 70's 4x4 W series reverse rotation power steering box conversion?

No, but it's been discontinued for over 25 years, so why is it important ?

Boneyard is the only place you will find one, unless you buy a whole parts truck, just for it...

There may be someone here who can help you out, but they are cherished pieces.

I think I have come across one, so I am trying to get the part # confirmed before I spend money on a reverse rotation steering box. The # on my pitman arm is a little hard to see, I have #3496984-16-65.

My pitman arm has 4 flat spots in the bore at the steering box end with 7 splines between each flat spots for a total of 28 splines. The bore at the steering box end is 1 1/8" from flat spot to flat spot, bore at drag link end is 3/4". The drop is 2 3/8".

Call redheads or powersteering.com to confirm fit on the gear side. The draglink specified in the rr builds can be found online. If both ends fit, the drop and length I can measure for you on mine

That would be great! The length of mine is 6 1/2" from bore to bore.

Hi NJTman
Have you had the chance to measure the drop and length of the pitman arm on your reverse rotation steering box?
