Reputable (auto) trans shop in socal
Reputable (auto) trans shop in socal
okay so i've decided to have the trans in my 92 rebuilt.
the local shop that we use at our shop quoted me $1800
i talked to a guy at Atlas Transmission in whittier. he quoted me $875 for the rebuild and $200 for the "tow master" torque converter.
anyone know of any good, reasonably priced trans shops in the so cal area?
who makes the best bang for the buck converter?

bellflower transmission is where my dad always took his truck and my mom's car for service and whatnot. they can do full rebuilds, valve bodies and so on. diesel's as well. tranny and rear end service jobs also. larry runs it and bob is a very knowledgeable tranny/all around mechanic. they're also an ATS dealer. quality work from those guys. can't guarantee it'll be the cheapest you find, but my thinking has always been "you get what you pay for." let me know if you'd like a contact number.
