Rebuilt VE sitting for 3 years, issue?

Had a pump rebuilt by Giles about three years ago, it has been kept inside away from the environment for two of those years, but this past past winter it was in a sheltered environment but outside, and am concerned about condensation possibly rusting the internals. Would any of you be overly concerned? It’s finally on the truck now, and was planning to fire it up tomorrow, but am a little worried.

Did it come in a plastic bag? Even if it didn't I would not be concerned if the fuel inlet, injector outputs etc... are plugged off. I am sure it was put together with an assembly lube of some sort which would do a good job of preventing rust. But unless it's been laying out in the yard I wouldn't be concerned.

Not in a plastic bag no, but everything was plugged. Thanks a bunch Edwin, that helps my mind rest easy!

I was thinking about getting one rebuilt myself. Just to have a spare. I have a vacuum food sealer I could toss it into.
