Rear Getrag seal ?

I need a output shaft seal for my Getrag. However, when I go to autozone of oreilly, even when checking on rockauto.com, they say I have the New Process A536 transmission, and try and give me a long seal, like its for a slip yoke. Has anyone run into this problem, or better yet, does anyone have the part number I need? The one they give me is Timken 2506, the slip yoke one. I know napa has it, but Id like to go get it tonight so I can get my truck rolling again, Thanks.

I work at autozone and I just called in to get the number for you. The computer asks for automatic or manual, and then it asks for 4 or 5 speed. The number for the 5 speed manual was the 2506. But if you say it's definately not right, I'll check it out for you when I go into work. Of course it won't be soon enough but I'll post back when i get it. It'll be tomorrow if I switch shifts, or the next day otherwise.

Thanks but I finally found it. Oreillys had it hidden as the rear trans seal. Problem was in the computer at both autozone and oreillys, the Getrag wasnt one of the tranny choices, they had a 4speed and a 5speed, the one I mentioned, for a diesel...stupid computers. Anyway, I finally found it after finding the part number listed as the rear main shaft seal on rockauto. Tahnks for checking for me though 90.

rbrettctd,
Thanks for the info. I found the parts stores do not have a listing for this seal, as you did, and was able to get them to cross the seal number I also got from Rock Auto so I could get the seal today.
Sure helped me out.
For anyone in the future that has this problem.
