rear diff fluid

Can't you tell an LSD by other means? WHen it's jacked up and you spin the wheels in neutral, the wheels spin together, or opposite (I can't remember which is which). My dually says LS on the tag above the 3.54, is that a coincidence?

Yes, if the clutches aren't shot. Jack up one side and put the truck in neutral. Try to turn the tire by hand. If it turns the diff is open, if it is locked up you have a LS.

That tag is no coincidence, you have a Powr-Lok. Usually the tag is missing.
