Raybestos Pro vs. economy

Are Raybestos parts the same (pro grade vs. economy)?

I'm guessing they are and that the price difference is to cover warranty costs.

Anyone know for sure?

Thanks,

Economy rare not made with the same materials. I bough the cheap brake pads the get by until I get time to start my 4X4 conversion and they fade pretty bad. There is a very noticeable difference.

The costs associated between parts is based upon two things...

Sales and material makeup.

The cheaper shoes have less "metallics" in them, and are made mostly of organic materials (asbestos and similar product). The more expensive shoes are impregnated with metals, plasticizers, carbon fiber, and other proprietary materials which increase resistance, reduce heat and fade, and perform much better than a standard economy set.

I used the economy shoes for decades, and have switched to the premium shoes. The trucks stop much better by doing so, but a greater wearing of other components (drums & rotors) are a negative side effect of using them.

Yeah I just over simplified. I was dark and I was waiting for the coffee to brew.
