I guess maybe since it spun so bad that is why it had a high et and then a high mph. That thing must have been pulling hard up top.

If that mph is legit, then that thing is a rocket! I just ran 8.32 at 83.4mph in a buddies 4wd truck, so slicks should help immensely.

I was being silly. As you say, those are theoretical numbers, just like it's theoretically possible to get a diesel engine to be 100% efficient. Yeah, we wish. I'd be interested to know, as we all are, what his numbers actually are. Seems like they'd be high to me, closer to the theoretical 539.81. At least I hope so for pwrtrpls sake.

That is an excellent mph!
For those of you who don't know already; if you have a slow/bad start and your mph is high, you have power.

If you have a great E.T. but poor mph, you have traction but, either the driver slowed down or the truck broke.

Since pwrtrp says he was running 82-86 on the runs I would say it's accurate.

Question is; fuel only? Nitrous? Water meth? Propane? Flux capacitor?

What's the wieght of the truck with driver?

I am really starting to fall behind with the times...............literally.

My best in the 8th is 8.27 @ 83.3 (automatic) with a 60' of 1.81.

Considering you're having to let off a little to shift, that boy's haulin hiny.

Also Bill the audi you ran prolly got near perfect traction and pwrtrip is saying he couldn't get traction. Spinning outta the hole will also slightly increase MPH in the traps, his 60' is way slow too, i guess due to traction or 'easing' out, but you can see in the video that when he was finally hooked or stopped slipping the clutch that the truck really takes off. It's impressive none the less.

mine was as fast as 9.8@68, but slowest was 10.2 still @68.

Makes me want to take my rig out and try and run a mph number....last time I tried I ran a 10.2 @ 77mph with two turns out of the fuel screw and no nitrous....no traction either, till about 50mph.

I think my best 1/8 mile was 8.58 @ 82 mph.
My best mph was 83 @ 8.6???

I usually gain 21 mph from the 1/8 to the 1/4...................

I'm in the same boat, high MPH and lower et... with a 60' of 2.5(rounding up) best. I think i'm going in the right direction as far as traction now ;-)
