I'm about to install the Kenwood stereo from my old truck into my '90, but I need to know which wires do what thing. Does anyone have a wiring diagram of the plug? I plan on just splicing in spade connectors to the stock harness, since that's how I did it on my old one and it makes the stereo easier to swap if I need to.

I just went to walmart and bought a $10 adapter for my truck. I only used the 12v, 12v ign, and ground since i ran all new speaker wires.

 

What he said. No sense hacking the connector off the factory harness when you can just plug in.

 

They actually have that? I couldn't even find one for my '03 except at Best Buy and it was like $20. Wasn't going to hack the connector off though, I was just going to splice into its wires.

 

my dad has the hole repair manual for these trucks, i just found the wiring diagram for the radio and it took about half an hr to install it. if i had the book i would scan and post the diagram for you but i dont. maybe sombody else will on here will have it though.

 

Yes they have it. It is back in the automotive section by the radios. Atleast thats where mine was. I just went to walmart and they have it for $6.94
