More Traction Bars...

In hopes of possibly "getting more power to the ground" we got some front traction bars rigged up. Went with the popular tractor 3-point end links. They have 1-1/8" left and right threads or pre-loading, and 1" holes in the swivel ends. Lengthened them about 35" with some .281" wall tubing. Made the front mounts from square tubing, and tied the rear into the brackets for the rear bars.

OK, now I got to go clean that mess up.

Looks good, what is the o.d of the bars?? Also, the plate you have bolted to the frame, do you have anything on the inside of the frame? Or just on the side and the bottom... Id kinda be concerned about all the stress you are sending to one area on the frame, not knocking it in any way.. But I like to overthink things a bit much and that is the only thing that concerns me a bit.. Id say you are gettin closer to being ready for puliin season though!!

1 bar (or 2) with 2 points on the axle work 10 times better, also decent springs would help, fronts are gone and way too long shackle.

I assume this is not street driven.

The tube is 2.25" OD.

Yes, the springs are tired, and the shackles I made added too much lift. Going to drop it back down some and get some decent leaves for it.

There wasn't enough room for ladder style bars.

I think it looks very good. I have no background in pulling but I think it will help control traction.

Craftsmanship looks A-1. Any worries about tire rub?

Thanks.

The 305/70 tires just rub, but not too bad. Only Limits the steering maybe 1/2" each way. Still more nimble than my ex. cab. If the "pumpkin" wasn't in the way you could move them in, out of the way completely.

It is not the ideal setup, but should help with spring wrap.

When I pull with my cummins ramcharger, front axle wrop is not the issue. Getting weight onto the front tires is the issue. No traction, no wraption.
