Question For Guys With Aftermarket Cam
Question For Guys With Aftermarket Cam
Talked to Hamilton recently about their cam recommendations. Learned a lot, but forgot to ask Zach something I was curious about.
My 12v buddies that have aftermarket cams all say the same thing...that the cam changed the sound of the truck a good bit. Some say it made it sound "meaner" and some just say it made it noticeably louder. They sound the same to me, but it isn't my truck. Anyone running a 180/210 or so noticed a difference in sound?

My ole helix two made the truck noticeably lounder at wot. Had a much stronger crackle to it. I think it was due to the exhaust valve opening sooner, little bit of wasted energy to help drive the charger. The person running it now also said the same thing, without me forewarning him.
