Here is what you are looking for. The drag link will be one piece though.

Thanks Mark, that is the first time I have seen one, it should be easy to spot. There is a small town 25 miles away that I pass through on the way here. It has at least 3 giant wrecking yards full of old trucks. I am going to see how many that I can find...Mark

It is 6". I would have rather had it a little longer but he had it already made up and a little cheaper.

All it is is DOM tubing faced off and tapped 78-18 right on one end and left on the other.

I did ream the holes in the arms a little to get the nuts on far enough for the cotter pins to go in.

No they are stock 1 ton Chevy tie rod ends with a longer drilled and taped DOM tube instead of the stock split sleeve. I just had to be different.

I know that heim joints are used commonly in racing applications, is there any reason that they couldn't be used in this application?...Mark

I don't think they are DOT legal. Inless they had seal they would be susceptible to dirt and grit contamination and would likely cost about $75 each.
And the holes in the steering and pitchman arms can't be tapered.

Wish me luck

Well guys, I am going to go to Miguel Aliman tomorrow and search the three yards there and I plan on buying every one that I find. That is if I find any and they don't try to gouge the Gringo too bad. The good thing is that the exchange rate is still around 18 Pesos/dollar, not too bad. I'll report what I find in the afternoon. I'll be going back to Hermosillo next week, they have a lot more yards there. Chances are that I'll find them there. Thanks guys, gives me something to do...Mark
