Pyrometer/thermocouple ??

Just wondering if anyone has tried to use a type K thermocouple from an auto meter setup on an Isspro guage?

I used a thermocupler from a edge off a Duramax on my dipricol gauge. AFIK all thermocouplers are the same, it's just resistance....

Nope, there's several different types of thermocouples.

They all work on a voltage difference developed between different metals when heated. Theoretically resistance is not an issue. Thermocouple type, however, must match the sensing circuit.

J-type thermocouples are low temp and K-type are high temp. I don't know the range of either off the top of my head but the K-type is what you want for exhaust temps.
