Rear pinion seal
Rear pinion seal
My differntial has water in it.. Even after cleaning it up. Checked again and still milky gear oil. My vent is clean.. And now I noticed the pinon seal is leaking.
Looked for the part. And I see many differnt seals.. I have 3.53 gears and the auto OD trans.. It's a 250 rwd my brakes are the bigger heavy drums...
How can I find out what seal to buy? And would that be how water is getting in??

Had the same thing happen to me on my W350, pinion seal leaked like a sieve. Took it in to have it repaired only to find that the bearing race had been slipping in the case. Ended up replacing the the entire rear axle assy. to a D80 from 2000 1-ton.
I might just find another rear axel.
