Ok, I Am Going To Pull My 727tf Out For An Over Drive Tranny With A Lock Up Torque Convert.
So Dose Any One Know What I Will Have To Do To Get A Locking Torque Converter To Work On My Truck.
I Plan On Going With Suncoast Or Ats.
Thanks, Bob

Give that a read, there's also another thread on how to go from a 5 speed to a 47RH.
Good idea to go with a built one, stock form will not hold up, trust me I know.

I am currently trying to post the wiring schematic I drew up and use on my auto 47RH that is installed in a prior manual transmission truck. Fergavs also installed a 47RH in a former manual truck. I use a series of relays that allows you turn overdrive and lockup with momentary switches when you want them engaged. The relays keep them engaged until you tap your brake which then energizes another relay that turns them off automatically. It works very good, and it is easy to wire up and relatively inexpensive.
