Ok boys like the title says i need to make up my mind and build a sled tugger or drag race first gen. I have been raised on drag racin since birth i have a 71 dodge d-100 drag truck already but i love seein the boys at the pulls. My personal opinion is DRAG. I think there is more of a rush to it but then again I never pulled.

Done both, I can honestly say I never broke anything drag racing, can't say that about pulling. Now I leave the pulling to the tractors and the drag racing to the truck.

Drag racing, you break too much in pulling

The sleeper look of the 1st gen seems to be the big draw for many where I've run. I've actually been paid to race against another car at the dragstrip. It's that big of a surprise to the uneducated.

Well since you already got a drag, why not build up a puller. Then when one breaks you always got another to go have fun with. But make sure you fix the broken before you break both then you wouldn't have any fun at all!

If you plan on staying with the VE, I'd make it a drag truck. Around here, any VE truck would be eaten alive by the P7100 pullers.

It all depends on how many teeth you have, If the amount is greater than two you don't qualify for sledpulling.

If you want to 2wd pull, I will help you some as I am gonna do that.

If you have the SETUP correct, you can do either with MINIMAL damage. Dont have it setup correctly, you WILL break parts at either.

I still have most of my teeth and I pull.

I am biased towards pullin but I've been pulling with some sort of motorized vehicle since I was 10 years old, if I were you I would drag race a 2wd, not that I wouldn't love to see a VE 2wd puller but it would take a lot of money to get a 2wd puller setup correctly. Pulling also destroys parts

I sold some parts to a puller and he had all his teeth........unless they were dentures! Hi Curt!

I can't tease too much as I don't have all of my original parts, either......
