Angry power window ?

So this morning I go to put my window down in my truck (driver side) and It goes down with no problem, however, when it gets to the bottom it makes a kinda clunking noise and now it wont go back up.Ive got the door panel pulled off and when I run the power switch the big gear lookin thing in there is operating but the window is not moving. Is there something off track or what?Has anyone out there had a similar prob.? Thanks

Sounds like the clutch is broken.

Take a look in the sticky under power window repair - Jim's write-up will explain everything.

Or it could be a bad sector gear or teeth missing off the motor gear. Mine had a bad sector gear which took the teeth off of three motor's before I got it fixed.

BTW I have a new/rebuilt motor if you need one. Not sure which side but I think it's the driver side.

The motor is still working and is turning the big gear its just not pulling the window up or down. Its like the gear is not attached to those big scissor looking things that push and pull the window

Sounds like the arm has popped out of the nylon roler that runs in the slot on the bottom of the window. They are available at the dealer I think. I have an old gear which may have them still attached. I'll look at it when I go out to work on the truck tomorrow.
