power question

lately ive been seeing a huge drop in power than the next time i start it , it might have all the power back, i just never know when i got it or dont. what do yall think this is.( i just replace the fuel pump) and also i thought i would try draining the WIF and some how the valve got stuck open so i get to school and there is a very powerful smell of diesel. is this common of the valve?

Yeah, they stick sometimes. You probably have fuel all down the side of the motor, it takes a while to boil off and it smells pretty strong for a while.

alright, but is there any idea of what would be causing the power loss, or is it going to require somesort of extra info (I.E.- 0-60,egt,boost,fuel pressure, climate)

If you are getting air in the fuel that will hurt the power. If fuel can get out, air can get in.
