power door lock switch?

93 ext LE
Chasing an inoperative power lock switch on drivers door. Works from passenger side but not drivers. Question is; do I need to pull door panel to remove switches from panel or do they pop out like newer vehicles?
I searched with no luck.
Thanks

You don't need to remove the door panel. I just used a flat screw driver to pop them out. They are real easy to get out.

Not sure if this will help you Krusty, but have a look anyway. It's from the Sticky in the 'Body' section. https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...d.php?t=218946

Check the switch and see if it has come apart, When the plastic breaks they can become intermittent or not work at all.

They work by reversing the polarity to drive the motor actuators between lock and unlock.

I had a similar problem when the pass. side went out first then both. I pulled both switch panels first and they checked out OK. What I found was two wires in the loom from the body to the door - on the pass side - after repairing them all was and still is good. I would also check these looms on both sides.

you can take the switch apart and clean the contacts use a little dielectric grease and it should be good to go
