I have been having problems with my OD on my 93 and it's been driving my crazy, no pun intended, I disconnected my TPS and added a potentiometer, that worked for awhile but I kept hitting the **** by mistake and throughing it of and it never did work very well right from the start anyway, then I saw a post on adding a Jegs 50lb fuel pressure switch to the right side of the trans in one of the pressure ports, so I figured what the heck I've tried everything else, let's see if this works, and low a behold WALA, BINGO, it works great, it bypass's all that other crap and it works great and its very simple to install, took me all of 20 minutes.
All you need is a fuel pressure safety switch part # 11207 from Jegs performance, an on and off toggle switch and some 14 gauge wire. There is a post on how to do this but as of the moment I can't find it, but on the pass side of the trans are 4 7/16 plugs, the upper most one to the rear of the trans is the one where the fuel pressure switch replaces. I cut the small wire coming out of the trans OD solenoid on the drivers side of the trans and ran a jumper wire from that to the fuel pressure switch I just installed on the pass Side of the trans and from the fuel pressure switch I ran a wire to the inside of my cab to the on and off switch and then from the on and off switch to a good ground, that's it, it works great, my OD cuts in around 40 and if I'm pulling a hill with a load on and want my OD off I just flick the toggle switch to off and bingo it drops out of OD, this is a very simple and easy fix to those OD problems a lot of us have, I love it
