I bought my new truck on wenesday and will be doing my firewood hauling with it. It is completely stock as of now. I wil be hauling a 25ft gooseneck filled with logs to be cut into firewood. I am looking for a injector that is egt friendly becuase i dont want to worry about egts while hauling. I heard before that 190 are good for it but i have seen people pull w/ PODs. Old smokey pin will be in if it dones cause egt issues. What you all think. POD's or 190's

 

190's. You will need to buy a bunch of air if you want to use all the power POD's can give while towing.

With your turbo, yes. And when hauling heavy, your stock injectors can get things too toasty if you turn the pump up enough.

 

Never tried PODs but I never see over 1,000* while towing with my setup. No big mountain grades around here, just lots of hills.

I think so, especially if your replacing the IC injectors. If you go much bigger you'll need to upgrade your turbo to be able to use the fuel.

 

You can always turn the little screw OUT a little. lol

Pods are managable with a stock turbo. Just not with a stock turbo, maxed fuel screw and a pin.

Why buy a set of 190's then have to buy Pod's after you upgrade the turbo later ?? If you are GONNA want more than a 190 why buy 2 sets of sticks when you can just buy Pods and tune your setup for safe use.

 

Nyceguy01. I can see where your coming from on what your saying. I am juts thinking about now becuase of my busy time of the year is starting with hualing lumber so i was only thinking about now. not the far future. l like the pods i have but i dont want to worry about the egts when i am towing and the pods get egts up very quickly when doing so.
