Question Pistol grip on a Getrag

My 78 crew cab dually is getting a Cummins swap shortly, and the donor is a 91.5 with a Getrag. I want a pistol grip shifter, but I don't know if it will hit the dash on a Getrag. Most people who have them are running NV4500s, which locate the shifter about 4" rearward. Does anyone know if this is possible?

T Worline has a pistol grip on his 92. It clears the dash.

I don't know if his is a repop or orginal Dodge. I also don't know which body style it is. I do know its not a E body. Those are real short shifter handles. His was a longer one. I would guess it was for a B body.

Looking at his profile, he hasn't been here in over two years, and his pics show what looks to be an NV4500 under his truck, but no shots of the interior at all. The 70 B-body non-console shifter is the one most people use as it's the biggest of them all. So I guess the question is still unanswered.

Getrag sticks can be easily bent with a little heat

It really depends on what angle you mount it. I have more trouble with my shifter hitting seat and aftermarket console I have sitting on my seat. Doesn't even get close to the dash.

I have one 93 shifter, a 90 shifter, and another '90 shifter with 2" jog to the driver side and angled up a smidge.

I want a pistol grip shifter too
