performance question

Just purchased 93 D350 and I was wanting to know what is the most cost effective performance upgrades I can do. I dont want to go into motor or turbo work unless other options arent available. I'm really happy with the truck but I think with another 100hp or so it would be much more enjoyable.

Thanks for the help.

Smaller exhaust housing, pump tweaking, possibly bumped timing, of course gauges to monitor it all. Open up air intake and exhaust to 4". Not sure but would imagine youd need injectors to get extra 100hp.

He's already on his way down the slippery slope, boys!

You can get an extra 100 RWHP pretty easy. Put a pyrometer on first. Get an Old Smoky pin and crank the pump up. You will need more air to keep it cool, so a 4" exhaust and a higher flow air filter system of some type will be needed. If you have an automatic trans it's not going to be happy.

and if the trans is auto, just throw a ats torque convertor in it, trans temp. guage, and a tranny cooler, you'll be set!

If you do a torque converter, get at least a shift kit too, if not a full valve body.

I'd also recommend grinding your own fuel pin instead of the Old Smoky. From what I've found with my spare pump cap and AFC housing, you can get as much travel as the pin will allow by grinding the stock pin.
