Here's something I never had before.power door locks not working and pushing the switch causes the temp and fuel gauges to peg the needles. Must be a cross somewhere. Anyone run into this before?

 

Sounds like a bad ground, or a short in the wiring somewhere. I'd look at the bundle of wiring that run through from the door to the body since that flexes and moves every time the door is opened and closed...most likely place for a cracked or broken wire.
