Here's something I never had before.power door locks not working and pushing the switch causes the temp and fuel gauges to peg the needles. Must be a cross somewhere. Anyone run into this before?

My first thought is to check the wires that run out the cab and into the door, for worn out wires, or cracks allowing different wires to touch.

I would assume loosing your electric door locks would be worth a negative 20 HP off your performance..

Need more information about your truck. The wiring diagrams vary a little year to year configuration to figuration. Looking at a 92 wiring diagrams, I'd start by pulling the 20 amp #6 fuse that powers the door locks and see what happens. The issue is either finding a false ground or a false power source. Pulling the fuse eliminates that power source. In the 1st gen FAQ section under electrical there are 91.5 wiring diagrams. Not well laid out so you will have to dig through them. Hope you're well skilled in electrical troubleshooting.

At least 20, can't lock or unlock the doors and now the dang thing barely runs. Probably have to kick it to the curb and buy a tesla.
