Passenger Side Oil leak

Hey guys just picked up a new 1st gen same stats as the truck in my Signature but no mods other than 4" turbo back exhaust. I seem to have a little bit of and oil leak. Its not super bad just driving around town it leaves say a couple ounces on the ground when i park. However when I drove it home the 1300 miles from MO where I bought it I went through 2 gallons trying to keep the level correct. Its leaking on the passenger side of the engine seems to be somewhat towards the front. Doesnt seem to be any of the b4 mentioned leaks but could be wrong. Is there any possibility it could be leaking from behind the oil filter where the cooler bolts up in that area any where. First i thought turbo line but wrapped it up with a rag and no dice. It gets over everything down there. Thanks in advance folks.

If you are sure it ain't the turbo line then you better look at the front of the engine and/or the oil filter and cooler area. The fan on the front can blow oil all over the place while driving around. Probly not a bad idea to give it a real good bath and start fresh.

is there oil on the front of the motor by the timing cover if so check for cracks around the housing ... just looked at one that had same issues turned out the dowel had fallen and cracked the housing

I'll check and see i'm still tryin to find the best way to get in there and check for the leak. Dont wanna tear the motor apart if I have to run it to make it leak. That would really suck to get that far and not be able to tell where its coming from.

Get to work with the pressure washer and clean it real good then run it an look for the leak. Much easier to find it on a clean engine than a dirty one.
