Passenger Door Problem

So, I changed out the door hinge pins and bushings. I used Faith's write up. but used a ratcheting tie down to hold the door, since my carport has 2x8 rafters.

The door open and close soooo much better!

Anyway, the passenger door front edge still rubs the rear edge of the fender. How can I make the fender move a bit toward the front?

Thanks!

I've never done a Dodge but have done several furds n chebbies. Should be bolts underneath, maybe inside, and on top of the fender at the rear. Loosen off and move your fender forward. Good luck!

Check the cab mounts also. A mount gone on the front or rear corner might be why your fender is hitting.

if you cant slide the door hinge back (hinge bolts slide on cab and door) I have put flat washers under the hinge on each bolt of the door that will shim it back too .

Beat the front edge of the door inward with a ball peen hammer so it clears.

I used the above method on my 93. Effective, but not pretty.

I was thinking about beating the fender edge, as it is easier to hit when the door is open!!!

Wasn't really serious, but I guess I'm not the only one that has gotten a bit more service out of a bent car or pickup (usually caused by pushing on the deer herd) by beating the front edge of a door into submission.
