Parking Brake Cables
About an hour ago I put mine back on the truck. Other truck doesn't have any on it at all.
I ordered the short one from Dodge, about $50. The long one is NLA, and would be about a hundred if they had it.
When I get the short one in about a week, I can measure it up and photograph it. Should be able to deduce the measurements for the long one for that given that the length is known (97.5" ) and the end relationships are the same.
Got to looking around, and from the description Raybestos might be OK.
Left Raybestos BC93587
Right Raybestos BC93876
From the stock photos, Oreilly might be Raybestos

Then I bought the Raybestos ones, and so far, I've gotten about a year out of them.
I purchased the dodge drivers side one that you bought, when this debacle started last year. I have it on the shelf ready to go in when this raybestos one goes bad, as they all "freeze" in the sheath at some point or another.
I was bummed out when I found out last year the passenger one was NLA.
I wonder what these guys would charge to make me a good one ?

Bruin Brake Cables
I sent these guys an email to see what is available, and if they can produce a cable that won't crap out in a year or so.
It was an offside reference to the price for 2 fifty cent boots.
Why don't you take that thing down off the shelf and lay it out, photograph it in detail, and measure it. (total length, sheath length, and length and diameter of end *****.)
End lengths would be the same for both cables, so it would be easy to figure out the sheath length for the long (97.5") cable.
I had to stop and put some parking brake ears on the shoes I'm installing, and when I did I found the cables a bit short as the levers are now where they're supposed to be. I had to pull the forward ends out of the clip so I could heat up the adjuster and get it loose, so they're hanging in the open right now. The forward end **** on the long (right side) cable is larger diameter. I'll measure it.
If you and I get these photos and measurements in this thread, maybe someone here can get one of the many vendors mentioned to give a quote for decent cables.
At first I bought the advanced ones. Lasted 6 months.

For years, whenever I have replaced the cables on my truck, I have cut them down to a reasonable length. Cut the sheath, bore out termination, re-crimp. Cut the cable, wrap with mild steel wire, braze into a spherical shape. A little time consuming, but easy, and I have had no problems at the balancer (upper) end of my cables.
All one needs is some stainless steel control cable of the appropriate size -- making them up from there is easy. I never found a good source for the control cable, though.
