P RND21 indicator?

After finishing up the Diamond Eye kit tonight I took another stab at this little son-of-a. I don't know if the guy puting it together last time disfigured this thing in some way but there's no way its some twist and pull! I guess ill have to go check the one in the local salvage yard to get a visual.

Here was my trick.
I tied a short length of fishing line to mine so it is easy to grab the hook and keep it pulled straight, no need to take it off when you are finished, mine has been on here for about 6-years.
Here you can see the tail is only about maybe an inch long.
After I get the dash back together and steering column tightened it is time to connect the 2 back together.
I grab onto the tail using locking hemostats and carefully pull the hook down toward the floorboard, when you get to the correct slot you can simply push it in with another finger or a small screwdriver.
To remove it simply pull down on the string and then lift it out of the arm using a small screwdriver or even a toothpick.
Now see how easy it was.

Ah yes now I see that my little tab is bent into an "s" shape when it should be more like "u" shaped. A picture tells a thousand words! Thanks a ton Jim
I can't wait to finally drive this thing! Oh so close
