It is in the outpul line of the transmission. Th line that goes toward the front of the truck on the drivers side, at the bend.

Get under the truck. Get on the drivers side. Look at the 1/2' line coming out of the transmission, in the front (not the back)going forward. Where it bends is where the sensor goes. It is about right below the linkage brackets at the front edge of the trans pan. About 2 inches from the transmission. If you find the edge of the trans pan at the drivers front corner, you will see it.

numbers

the number on my invoice is 4638763
the stamped number on the sensor is 3919909 1441
again the two parts are identical exept for the size of the male end. The ne sensor measures 3/4 across the trhreads and the old one i'm sure is 5/8. the cavity inside the sensor is a bit longer on the old one as well. if you need me to i can take pics i'm just not too sure how to put them on here. but i could email them if need be. thanx

Trans Temperature Switch.

The last time I bought the switch it had a part number of 56026720. This may have been superseeded with a different number but it is the right size.
