Question overdrive indicator

I am hooking up the toggle switch for the overdrive today but I would like to put a light on the dash so I know when it is on. What would be the easiest way to do it. I was thinking putting the light to a "switched" hot and hook the ground side of the switch to the ground of the overdrive, that way when I flip the switch which will ground the solenoid and engage the overdrive the light will come on. The only thing is I don't want to take the chance of the light messing with the solenoid. Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Oh by the way my truck came with a 727 that is why I am hooking up the toggle switch.

I don't know if that will work because I am putting the ground on the toggle not the power.
