Over fueling!!!
Over fueling!!!
Numer 2 cylinder is geting too much fuel. At first i though it was an injector problem, had all the injectors rebuilt and still had the problem. I have swapped different injectors to the No 2 hole and they all act bad on this cylinder only....All other cylinders are fine. This leads me to the delivery valve for No. 2 cylinder, so i pulled it out and checked it. Didn't really know what i was looking at, but it looked fine and there wasn't any junk in it, so i cleaned it and stuffed it back in. Still over fueling on that hole.....NEED HELP!!!!! Thanks guys...any ideas welcome. I've been chasing this problem for a week and i need to get truck back on the road.
A good way to diag. Over fueling is seeing fuel leak out the exhaust manifold. Or remove exhaust manifold. plug off turbo oil lines and start the motor up. That'll tell you if it's over fueling.
If it is over fueling and you've swapped injectors and it staying in that hole remove injectors lines off pump have somebody turn motor over so you can watch fuel come out.Could Also be under fueling. Or swap delivery valves. See of it stays in that hole.
Hey dz....thats how i ended up with diagnosis....i had a another thread on blown turbo....but that ended up not being the problem. After yanking turbo off, we seen the fuel coming out the manifold....but thanks man, keep the ideas coming.

By the way....my delivery valves are missing a piece inside compared to the ones i seen in the sticky under ve pumps.....i knew there was a difference between the ic and non ic pumps...but didn't expect that.
Well.....i figured it out by running into dead ends with chasing fuel problems! So aggravated again this morning...i got on here and hit the search button for 1,345,898 time...LOL! And wala...some guy under the name "devildog5001" had made a post last year with the same problems. So i went out and checked my oil and sure enough, i had lost about 2 or 3 quarts over this week, just running it in my diveway and a few test drives. So i yanked the head and had the same issue that he had. I just wished i had found that post 5 days ago....haha.....but on the promising note, i do have a new hx35 that i get to try out when i get er' back on the road.
