ouchman 2wd lift solution, part numbers?
Fellows,
I am finally going to level LoLo and am hoping to employ Ouchman's spacer/shock solution. I went online to track down the Daystar KG 09101BK spacers and was surprised to find they are made for GM pickups. Has anybody since Ouchman performed this remedy, and if so is this in fact the correct part?
While I'm at it I will be reparing the wobbly steering. It looks like the consensus is that the Borgeson shaft is worth the money. The catch here is that I am likely going to be putting this rig up for sale later this year. Would you guys put the extra $ into that shaft if you were going to part with the vehicle not long after?

On the steering shaft: No, especially not on a 2wd. The pieces to rebuild the stock joint cost $10 at Dodge. The 2wd trucks don't have near the problems with the shafts as the 4x4's because the shaft is almost perfectly straight. On a 4x4 the shaft comes in at an angle so the u-joint has to move around a lot more.
Hey Albertross -
I had the work done at a shop - HERE IS THEIR WEBSITE - you should be able to e-mail James and check the part numbers. I did the 7226s springs on my last truck and was unhappy with the stiffness of the front end. This new fix is much nicer. Hope it works for you!
