The overdrive is in the transmission itself, not the converter. A 47RH converter in the other hand, would be a good upgrade if you could make it work.

You can spin the rear tires all the way threw 2nd with a stock 727 on 32"ish tires with 3.07 gears? Power lock or one tire fire? What all you got done to your pump, what injectors and turbocharger?

I may need to get a Dana 71&61. I wouldn't mind the gear ratio if I could power threw it like that.

You can go pretty quick w 3.07's and a 727. 2.65x75x16's. mine went 8.0 and 12.6. Probably quicker now. Lockup tranny and gear changes are pretty expensive. 727s slip a little but don't tend to break if they have the right parts.

Why don't you worry about traction before horse power? If you already have enought to burn rubber then shouldn't getting that power to the ground be the next big step?

Engine hasn't been out. New o ringed head. Water to air. Methanol. Nitrous. Made 578 with ddp IV's and ddp pin. Have a Denny t pin and some coal train 6x16's but don't have numbers on them yet. Should be able to pour a lot more nitrous now. Drive ability is much better with the ddp stuff. I'll save the big stuff for the track and dyno. Timing is 20. No wipers now though. Oh well.

Are you talking about a straight up floor it from a stop burnout or power braking it?

Well when I had my old bald tires I would launch it around 10psi or just mat the peddle at a dead stop and they would break loose

My 92 W350 club cab dually was completely unmolested when I got it 6 months ago with 145k miles, just a old farm truck. Took it home and turned the pump up until I ran out of idle screw, screwed the star wheel down, rotated the fuel pin, and adjusted the smoke screw for minimal smoke. I had to turn the pump back down a little because I kept smoking the tires. They still break loose if I stand in it, but not for long
