Only one headlight!! Switch?

Hey Guys,

I am working on getting this '92 1st gen in good shape. The cab wiring is a MESS that I am slowly sorting out. When I pull the headlight switch I only get one side to light on both low and brights. They both worked before, now they don't. I don't think it is the bulb, so I was wondering if there is a "clipped" wire somewhere or can the switch cause only one side to light up. One other thing. The truck blows the interior/dome light fuse every time. A little time delay before it kicks a 10 amp. Does anyone know what other lights or possible draw might be on this circuit other then the dome light inside the cab. The dome light works correctly until it blows the fuse. Thanks for all your help you "Good Neighbors".

Check the back of the fuse block for melted wire's, that could be touching and shorting out your dome light. Some times people put to big of fuse's in and burn up wires. An it might be your light swicth! Also check the fusiable links on the diver side fender well, check the with a good test light.Thats more an likely your head light problem. U will find it .

Replace the bulb or at least check the power at the plug before you get too involved. Headlights do burn out.

That fuse runs all the interior lights in the truck except the gauge lights, as well as the underhood and cargo lights. Also runs the power mirrors and the radio memory.
