sounds like a fun project, and a good deal if that thing still runs decent.

Are ya gonna reuse the fender too?I saw your trucks lh corner had a little tweeking. Why not put a late 70's nose and doors and bed on the donor truck? It seems to me easier to fit body parts than to do all the wiring and shoehorning required. I thought about doing it to mine. Its real easy.

It'd be worth 2k...if it was a 5 speed. 3k is pretty steep for a non-driver parts truck. Non-ic engines can be had for about a grand if you shop around.

Agreed. I wouldnt give 3k for that. 2k would be the most I would give.

I spent 1800 all in after delivery for a rusty but driveable truck. I think 2gs would be top end for that, unless there is something we don't know about it.

I just picked a Non-IC engine up for $300.
3k is very steep for that gem. A buddy of mine dropped a 2wd 1990 5 speed off at my house, not pretty the front end looks like something out of a mad max movie, but it is definitely drivable. Paid $500 for it.

If thats the right grill on that truck it has to be a 91 or newer, body trim is also the newer style.

Well it was used as a beach truck so there is no telling how bad the rust is with the rest of the body. Besides I have allthe body parts to fix my 77, and I want the d60 & 205 tcase. Here they go for about $1200 just for the D60.

Always thought that a reg cab short bed would be cool. Maybe even with stacks

Still thinking about it. Just depends on wheather I am going to have to have surgury later this month or not. Just playing the waiting game on that.

The '77 is full time right? If you swap in the 3/4 ton axles that would be real cool - a short bed full time 4X4 diesel. My brother bought a donor to swap into his Ramcharger, same deal - short wheel base and full time 4 wheel. I'd like to repower my '76 M880 that way.

Are the running gear, wiring, etc good on that truck? Seems a lot but maybe up there everything is more expensive eh?

3K, no way. 2K yeah Id jump on it personally. 160K miles is good. and I also agree, unless thats a new, or was a new clip, thats not a 90 model year truck.

The 77 was full time but due to bearing failure and the having to cut the ball jouint out I converted it to a parttime system. Larger bolt pattern and more of a wheel selection.

The truck is running and driveable. Just no title for it. would prefer a intercooled truck, but this is actually easier to do on the 77.

Cool NOW a First gen owner...

Unfortunatly this 1st genis going to be an organ donor for my 77w100. It is getting all the drivetrain components.

Yeah and you guys were right they didn't know what year it was... Prod 12-92.

As soon as I can get done with my other projects then I'm goin to start the conversion.

too bad the truck has the rust on the "eyebrow" above the windsheild. Would of loved to save it but their isway too much body rust/damage.
