older Gas Dodge vehicles: replace coil & elec ignition as part of tune up
I got an older RCSB Dodge, and it was a REAL POOCH, it was pathetic.
it ran great: had new plugs, wires, dizzy, carb....but still NO POWER
so I cut the exhaust & CAT off (local shop had OEM exhaust in stock)
bolted the "straight pipe" on it....still a POOCH
looked at the Elec Ignition, and it's guts had melted from being hot.
so popped on a new coil & ignition, module and that truck ROCKED
it would do a "one wheel peal" for about 6~8 feet by just stomping the gas.

IDK, PO had done a full restoration on many parts of the truck, but the truck never did have enough power to be any fun, was why I got it cheap.
his daughter drove it from Louisiana to SC for Nuke Power School, just tired of worrying about it.
