Oil in water after cooler replacement

I've replaced the oil cooler and there's still oil getting into the cooling system.
There's no indication of water in the oil. The head gasket or a cracked block are the only other possibilities I can think of. Does anyone have any idea what else could be wrong? Thanks alot!!

with all the upgrades, what kind of boost have you been running? it's possible it could be the head gasket... give us some more of your normal #s to work with. also welcome to the forum!

That's what I was thinking... DDP 4's+tuned pump+Stage IV/16+W/M injection sounds like a lot of stress for the headgasket.

Thanks for the reply! If I stay in the throttle long enough (10-12 sec.)my pyro will peg @ 1600. Boost will go to 48 to 50 psi, maybe more. I know that those numbers are excessive. I recently changed the head gasket because the old one rotted out. I hope that all I have to do is another h/g. Its never run hot so I don't think the block is cracked.

I'd do the headgasket, and if you don't plan on detuning the truck, I'd get studs and/or the head o-ringed. Also make sure the head and block are flat before doing another HG.

I think you have a recipe for HG destruction. 50psi boost pressure from an H1C-based turbo, 1600*, W/M, all will tend to pop the gasket.

The head gasket has been subjected to abuse, no doubt! I expected it to give up sooner or later. Personally I've never seen anything but water in the oil (not the other way around) when a blown head gasket occurs. O-rings and studs, amongst other things, are coming soon. I greatly appreaciate your input!!

when i bought my 300d john deere last year i had oil going both ways , in the radiator and water in the pan. holes in the cylinder liners. don't ask me how it pushed that much oil into the radiator but since an overhaul all good. so head gasket or head maybe an issue.

Oil in water is why I had to change my head gasket!!! Just got it all back together on Sun... If you have it off check for cracks, Was amazed at how common cracked heads are with these trucks...
