Oil Filter P/N

Oil filter P/N for a 93 ram CTD? I'm changing the oil on the truck and the hasting filter that came off looks a little different than the fleet guard LF3972 going on. Is that the right filter??

Yep it is fine. LF3972 is the standard filter for 89-06 Dodge Ram's. It's only difference is the end is fluted for removal with a cap style filter wrench from below on 3rd gens. You can use LF3894 - stratapore, LF3349 - old 12V version, LF3959 - standard filter, same as LF3972, just no flutes on end. LF3552 - microglass, etc etc..
