oil cap

I went to my regular oil change shop and he forgot to put the oil cap back on so i lost it. Does it matter what kind of oil cap i use? I stole one off an old nissan for now it screws in good. Does the cap need to be vented or sealed tight? Since i placed the nissan cap on it i have more oil pressure than i did. Any advice

It's sealed so you're probly good to go with the Nissan cap. A breather there makes things an oily mess.

I lost mine once. I found that a 710 cap off an old Malibu works just fine. I don't know what a replacement OIL cap for our trucks might run from a dealer. Most likely way over priced.

If you can't find a stock/OEM cap. Get one of these 710 caps for cheap. Only $5.99 ~ http://kalecoauto.com/index.php?main...products_id=19
