Ain't fixin it...
Cut neutral wire and spliced in length of regular wire to inside cab.
Switch closed - truck starts , switch open OD & CC work !!!

Best of both worlds.

I'll worry about reconnecting the neutral wire when I get my 47RH in...

Thanks for all your help.

You could just snip the wire that goes from the starter relay to the PCM...

It's brown with a yellow stripe according to the FSM.

Thanks - but it's too late...
Done got the other switch installed...

Also works in a way I hadn't thought of :
Anti-theft
I asked the wife to back up the truck for me in the driveway - one of the few times she gets to sit in the driver's seat...
She hollers - IT'S BROKE...IT DON'T EVEN CLICK!

Then it dawned on me - the switch is in the wrong position...So I ended up cleaning up and moving the truck myself...The switch is under the dash and if you don't look for it you won't see it...
Now I don't have to worry about remembering to lock the truck at night - or forgetting to.

As I said, I hope to have the 47RH installed in a couple of weeks. The problem will stay with this tranny - wherever it ends up.

Sorry for bringing an anchient thread up but my 2002 auto is doing the same thing. Would the NSS cause mine to do this in a 47re too?

Beats me. You'd be better off asking in the 24 valve section, they know those trucks a lot better than anyone in here.
